ADU Scoring Tool

The ADU Score Tool is a free, instant eligibility checker built specifically for NYC homeowners. Enter your property address (or BBL number), and the tool pulls data from multiple NYC public records — including zoning district, lot dimensions, flood zone status, and building classification — to generate a score out of 95 points. That score tells you how strong a candidate your property is for building an Accessory Dwelling Unit under the City of Yes regulations.

ADU Advisory is led by Robert LiMandri, the former Commissioner of the NYC Department of Buildings. During his tenure, Robert led the NYC Construction Code Revision, oversaw the post–Hurricane Sandy recovery assessment of over 40,000 properties, and helped develop PlaNYC, the city's long-term sustainability blueprint.
